I love reading Lindsey Kelk’s books as they are always light, funny and make an easy read – which make for great reading on the train to work. Also as they are in the chick lit genre it means they all make for brilliant summer beach reads.
It has taken me ages to get around to reading this book – I received it as a present back in November last year for my Birthday. It also took me a long time to finish reading it as I haven’t been on the train to work as much as normal and I forgot to take it when I stayed at Katie-Jo’s. But anyway I finally finished it a few days ago and really enjoyed it.
This particular book took me a little bit longer than Lindsey’s other books to get into but once I did I really got into it.
The lead character Maddie and her friends are relatable. I found myself rooting for Maddie from the beginning of the story all the way through and the twists and turns of the story whilst some were predictable others actually did surprise me.
I really like the end of the book and the use of instant messages, e-mails and notes. I think it was a great way to bring the reader up to date with the characters after the story finished.
Overall I really enjoyed the whole book and would recommend this book if you are looking for a summery kind of beach/ poolside book for your holiday.
