Film Friday – Sing
I thought I would get back into reviewing and sharing my thoughts on the films I have been watching.
So my film for this week is Sing.
Everyone who knows me knows I love a good kids film plus the school holidays have just started. What better film for this week than a film appropriate for everyone!
Ever since I saw the trailer for Sing I knew I wanted to watch it, plus it is from the creators of Despicable Me (which is another film I love, yes I am definitely a child in an adults body) so I was already on to a winner.
The story line itself is very easy to follow and you can’t really get lost with it – just think you are watching an animated version of Britain’s Got Talent or the X Factor and you are pretty much there.
The sound track (to me) is great and you can definitely sing a long to it:
Faith – Stevie Wonder
Gimme Some Lovin’ – The Spencer Davis Group
The Way I Feel Inside – Taron Egerton
Let’s Face the Music and Dance – Seth MacFarlane
I Don’t Wanna – Scarlett Johansson, Beck Bennett
Venus – Reese Witherspoon, Nick Kroll
Bamboleo – Gipsy Kings
Hallelujah – Tori Kelly
Under Pressure – Queen
Shake It Off – Reese Witherspoon, Nick Kroll
I’m Still Standing – Taron Egerton
Set It All Free – Scarlett Johansson
My Way – Seth MacFarlane
Don’t You Worry ‘Bout A Thing – Tori Kelly
Golden Slumbers / Carry That Weight – Jennifer Hudson
I would definitely recommend it, for a family night in or it would be perfect for a rainy day during the school holidays with some pop corn.
